Where can I find the application?

Applications for Fiscal Year 2023-2024 are currently open, and the deadline to apply is August 23rd, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. CST. Visit our application page for details.

What is required for a completed application?

The application is made up of the following: personal information, employment information, education information, community involvement, four essay questions of 100 words each, commitment signature and employer's commitment signature. All components must be received by the stated deadline for your application to be considered by the selection committee.

Do I have to live or work in Brownsville?

All participants must live, work and/or have an interest in the Greater Brownsville area.

Where and how do I pay my application fee?

Participants are required to pay a one-time $750 non-refundable, non-transferrable fee due on or before the Orientation Session. Once you are admitted to the program, you will be instructed on how to submit payment.

Is there tuition assistance?

Leadership Brownsville offers scholarships based on fund availability each year. Information about scholarships can be found on the application.

Does my employer have to sign the application?

Yes. Applicant must have the approval of his employer and full support; which includes the time required to participate in the program.

If I am self-employed how should the Employer Commitment signature be completed?

Please explain that you are self-employed and sign the application again.

When will I be notified about the decision on my application?

You will receive a welcome email from Leadership Brownsville Vice Chair of Curriculum no later than the first week of September 2023.
